What I've Been Up To Lately

August 10, 2009 — Since September 2008 I've been working with Coalesse, a division of Steelcase, Inc. focused on the changing nature of work and live/work environments. It's pretty cool to be involved in building a totally new brand and perspective on something we do every day, while being part of an almost 100-year-old company at the same time. Keep an eye out for great things from us.

"C" Change, Craft in Our Future: Recent Alums from California College of the Arts

October 26, 2007 — I've been asked to participate in an exhibition of recent CCA alumni at The Museum of Craft and Folk Art. Faculty from the five craft departments selected recent graduates whose work they believe "best represents the most exciting contemporary craft being made today." I'm very pleased that the Corrugated Bench will be a part of it. The opening is next Thursday, November 1st, from 6 to 7 pm, 51 Yerba Buena Lane. The show continues through Sunday, January 27, 2008. More information on the museum's web site.

I'm International

May 4, 2007 — Turkish design mag &Life featured me and my work in their Summer 2007 issue. I'll post the article as soon as I get the scanner working again, and then perhaps someone can translate the intro for me. The spread is lovely, though!

I'm looking for a job

February 10, 2007 — Are you a Bay Area company looking for a fabulous designer with a great eye, wicked CAD skills and solid business experience? Let me know! I'm looking for a position at a furniture or product company or design firm where my strong contemporary aesthetic, problem-solving approach to design, and amazing attention to detail will be an asset. And I'm more interested in working for an interesting company doing interesting things than I am in focusing on a particular type of product.

November 6, 2006 — I'm excited to be included in Surface Magazine's inaugural student thesis review in the November/December Avant-Guardian issue. Look for me and the Houndstooth Screen on page 216.
